This policy explains how Humanio ("we", "our", "Service") approaches academic integrity and the responsible use of our AI text tool. By using Humanio, you agree to follow this policy in addition to our Terms of Service.

Humanio is a writing aid that rewrites and refines text to read more naturally. It is intended to help you improve and edit your own writing — not to deceive others or misrepresent authorship.

1. Responsible Use

You are solely responsible for:

• Understanding and following the rules of any institution, employer, publisher, or platform you submit work to
• Ensuring your use of Humanio does not violate those rules
• Disclosing AI assistance where it is required
• Submitting only work you are entitled to submit as your own

This clarification reflects how the Service is intended to be used and is required by major payment providers (e.g., Stripe, Paddle, Polar).

2. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Humanio to:

• Commit fraud, plagiarism, or any form of academic or professional dishonesty
• Misrepresent AI-generated or third-party text as your own original work where doing so is prohibited
• Evade detection, plagiarism checks, or integrity rules in order to gain unearned credit or advantage
• Submit work that violates an institution's honor code or academic integrity policy
• Process text you do not have the right to use

We prohibit these uses and place responsibility for compliance on the user.

3. Allowed Uses (Examples)

• Improving the clarity, tone, and flow of your own drafts
• Editing and refining text you have the right to use
• Rewriting content for readability while preserving your authorship and intent
• Learning how to phrase ideas more naturally

4. Our Monitoring Practices

• We do not monitor individual submissions for cheating or integrity violations.
• We do not evaluate whether your use complies with your institution's rules.
• We may review anonymized text and output solely for product improvement, abuse prevention, and quality assurance, as described in our Privacy Policy.

This policy sets expectations; it does not imply active enforcement.

5. No Guarantee of Outcomes

Humanio does not guarantee any specific result, including that output will pass any AI detector, plagiarism checker, or other evaluation. The Service is a writing aid, not a guarantee of any academic or professional outcome.

6. Violations

If we become aware of clear misuse or repeated violations of this policy, we may issue a warning, restrict features, or suspend access to the Service, without refund.

7. Changes to the Policy

We may update this policy over time. Continued use of Humanio indicates acceptance of any updates.
