Privacy Policy
Effective date: 21 Aug, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Humanio ("we", "our", "us") collects, stores, uses, and protects your personal data. By using Humanio, you agree to the practices described below.
This Policy is designed to align with GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), and other applicable privacy regulations.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
- Email address (if using email registration)
- Name and profile data (if using Google or another third-party login provider)
We do not store passwords for third-party logins. We do not collect or store payment card details — all payments are handled by our external payment provider.
1.2 Content & Usage Information
- Text you submit for processing and the rewritten output we generate
- Usage history and interaction events
- IP address and approximate location (country)
- Analytics data (page visits, clicks, feature usage)
- Error logs, including those returned by third-party AI providers
1.3 Device & Technical Data
- Browser type and version
- Device type
- Session metadata
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Provide and operate the Service (process your text and return output)
- Maintain, secure, and improve the Service and its quality
- Analyze trends and performance
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats
- Enforce our Terms of Service and Fair Usage Policy
- Communicate with you about your account, billing, and service updates
We do not sell your personal data.
3. Text Processing & Third-Party AI Providers
To rewrite your text, the content you submit is processed by us and shared with third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and others) solely to generate output. These providers process data under their own privacy terms, and opt-out from their processing may not be available.
We store your submitted text, output, and history to operate the Service. You may delete your content or your account, after which we may retain anonymized text or metadata where permitted by law.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
- Contract — delivering the service you request
- Legitimate Interests — improving quality, ensuring security, preventing abuse
- Consent — when you explicitly agree to specific processing
- Legal Obligation — complying with applicable regulations
5. Data Sharing
We share data with third-party AI providers and service providers (such as our payment processor and analytics tools) solely to operate the Service. These providers may use such data under their own terms. We do not sell personal information. Which analytics and advertising tools run, and when, is described in Section 6.
6. Cookies, Analytics & Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies (local storage, tags, pixels) to keep the Service working, to understand how it is used, and — only if you agree — to measure advertising.
6.1 Strictly Necessary
These keep you signed in, protect the Service against abuse and fraud, and remember your cookie choices. They are required for the Service to function and cannot be turned off.
6.2 Our Own (First-Party) Analytics
We use self-hosted privacy-friendly analytics to understand aggregate website and product usage, such as visits, pages viewed, referrers, device type, country, signups, and payments. This analytics is hosted and controlled by us and is not used for advertising, remarketing, or cross-site tracking. Because it stays first-party and serves only the operation and improvement of the Service, we may load it before you make a choice in our cookie banner.
We may use pseudonymous first-party identifiers to understand sessions and returning visits, including activity before a visitor creates an account. These identifiers are used only for first-party analytics, attribution, and product improvement. They are not shared with advertising networks and are not used to build advertising profiles.
6.3 Third-Party Analytics — Analytics Consent
Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, runs only after you give Analytics consent. It may set cookies or use similar technologies and processes data under Google's own privacy terms.
6.4 Advertising — Marketing Consent
Google Ads tags (including conversion and remarketing tags) and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel run only after you give Marketing consent. These tools may set cookies or use similar technologies, may track you across sites, and process data under their own privacy terms.
6.5 Your Choices
Where our cookie banner is shown, you can accept or reject the Analytics and Marketing categories and change or withdraw your choice at any time from the cookie settings on our site. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings — note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will break parts of the Service.
