Welcome to Humanio. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Humanio ("Service"), available at https://humanio.me. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately.

The Service is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. Persons under 18 are not permitted to use or register for the Service.

1. Overview of the Service

Humanio is an AI-powered tool that rewrites and refines text so that it reads more naturally. The Service processes text you submit and returns a rewritten version. We do not guarantee any specific result, including that output will pass any particular AI-detection tool, plagiarism checker, or third-party evaluation.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Academic Integrity Policy and our Fair Usage Policy.

2. Accounts

• Login is provided via third-party authentication providers (such as Google) and/or email, as supported by the Service. We may add or remove authentication methods over time.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.
• You may not share, transfer, or resell your account.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts involved in abuse or in violation of these Terms.

3. Subscriptions

Humanio offers optional paid subscriptions on a weekly, monthly, or yearly basis. All subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

• Prices are listed in USD. Local taxes (including VAT) may apply and are calculated automatically by our payment processor.
• By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
• Cancellations and refunds are governed by our separate Refund Policy.

4. Payments

Payments are processed securely by our external payment provider. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate payment and account information, and to keep it up to date so that transactions can be processed. We may correct pricing errors and refuse any order at our discretion. We do not store payment card details.

5. Acceptable Use

You may not use Humanio to:

• Misrepresent authorship in a way that constitutes fraud, deception, or academic dishonesty (see our Academic Integrity Policy)
• Process content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or that violates the rights of others
• Submit content you do not have the right to use or rewrite
• Circumvent usage limits, security features, or access restrictions
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated scripts, or use the Service as a backend API, except where we explicitly permit it
• Resell, redistribute, or build a competing service on top of the Service
• Create new accounts after being banned for violations

Violations may result in account suspension or termination without refund.

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of the text you submit and of the output generated for you. You are solely responsible for the content you submit and for how you use the output.

To operate the Service, your text is processed by us and by third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and others). These providers process data under their own terms. We may use submitted content to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. AI-Generated Output

AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your purpose. You agree that:

• You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any output before relying on it.
• We make no guarantee that output will pass any AI detector, plagiarism checker, or any other evaluation.
• You use the output at your own risk and remain responsible for any content you publish or submit.

8. Intellectual Property

All materials that make up the Service, including its interface, branding, software, and text (excluding content you submit), remain the property of Humanio or its licensors. You may not copy, reverse engineer, scrape, or reuse Service components without permission.

9. Changes to the Service

• We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time without prior notice.
• If we change subscription prices, the change takes effect at your next renewal; your current paid period is unaffected.
• We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access at our discretion if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or engage in prohibited activities. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time; deletion procedures are described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimer

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any output will meet your requirements.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, for the Service during the period giving rise to the claim.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and your use of the Service are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
